Homemade Flax Seed Gel

1 cup water
1/4 cup flax seeds

Pour both ingredients into a saucepan on high heat. Stirring often to keep the seeds from sticking and burning to the bottom of the pan.

Once boiling you must stir the seed mixture constantly.

When the mixture becomes the consistency of a thin gel and the seeds begin to get hung up in the mixture instead of sinking to the bottom of the pan, turn off the heat.

Immediately pour the mixture into your strainer and clean your pan while the mixture strains. If the gel dries to your pan it becomes really hard to remove.

Take a whisk to break up any possible gelatinous chunks and remove any stray seeds.

Pour the mixture into a bottle for convenient use.

You can also add a tbsp of honey or 1/4 cup of pure aloe vera gel to the mixture for additional moisturizing properties.
